The best stock is like beauty - it is in the eye of the beholder. Your ugly duckling might be my beautiful swan and visa versa. That is why it is important not to blindly follow others - even stocks we discuss on this site. You must do your own research to find the best stock for you.
This tweet from Ian Cassel, founder of the MicroCapClub provides insight:
Because your goals and circumstances are different from mine, the best stocks for your portfolio may be different from mine.
With that disclaimer in mind, there are many characteristics that we look for when selecting our "Best Stocks" and we hope these discussions will inform your decision making as you search for the best stocks for your portfolio.
But be warned, finding your best stock is not enough. Buying it at the best price will have a big impact of how much money you make from investing in stocks.
So we will encourage to to put together a list of at least 10 best stocks (you will find over time this list will grow to 20 or 50 or 100) of stocks you want to buy at the best price. Then you strike opportunistically when a stock enters the "Best Price" zone.
